A word about MS CIS
Joe Aschenbrenner
Senior Manager
Verizon Business
"Our IT department conducted a strategy session this week with an outside consultant. I can’t tell you how beneficial the program has been so far. I am able to pull knowledge and experiences from all my courses and apply them to my organization. Management is taking notice and tells me they are impressed. So impressed, that I am being considered for a management position."
Like most MS CIS students, Joe Aschenbrenner, was drawn to the program in large part due to its highly applied nature. MS CIS courses that address the problems and challenges faced by IT organizations were very attractive. Gaining knowledge and experience would differentiate him from others and lead to increased career opportunities.
MS CIS students have an opportunity to learn from and interact with proven leaders via the Program's Executive-in-Residence series. IT executives from diverse industries and ranging from Fortune 100 firms to high-tech startups have shared their thoughts regarding best practices for IT managers. These sessions which often examine real world case studies, offer students an opportunity to analyze problems, make recommendations and discuss their viability with experienced IT leaders. Informal Q/A sessions also provide students with an opportunity to discuss career development issues.
